This is a great opportunity for someone who has a desire to start or progress their procurement career by providing strong category support to the Director of Procurement and Category Managers within the procurement team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for administration and the governance approach, whilst delivering a first-class supplier management and contract lifecycle service to the wider business. 

This role is aimed at candidates who are able to demonstrate their ability to provide commercial support to the procurement team who will in return be provided with an opportunity to work within a fast-paced team, focused on delivering optimum costs, while minimising commercial and supply risk across the business.

Qualifications

  • Ability to multitask whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
  • High level of numerical accuracy and reporting skills.
  • Supporting and facilitating governance related activities
  • Ideally educated to degree standard, the ability to demonstrate higher education learning or a strong administration management background
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.  Develops relationships within own department and across various stakeholder groups.
  • The ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative.
  • Promotes and sponsors a culture that supports experimentation, continuous improvement and innovation
  • Analyses and interprets situations and issues from a variety of viewpoints and finds creative, workable and timely solutions.
  • Team player, able to work effectively as part of the Procurement team but equally as part of virtual teams across the Rank Group
