We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on leader, to step into the Operational Security Manager position. This role is central to ensuring the security, stability, and performance of our digital platforms, retail venues, offices, and data centres. You’ll lead a team responsible for monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and compliance across both digital and physical environments, bridging the gap between online operations and in-venue security.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead the NOC or OSC team, ensuring seamless operations across digital platforms, retail venues, offices, and data centres.
  • Foster collaboration between digital and retail security personnel to create a unified security posture.

Reporting & Communication

  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on operational metrics, incidents, resolutions, and emerging threats across both digital and physical landscapes.

Security Strategy & Policy

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy aligned with Rank Group’s business goals and regulatory obligations.
  • Address the unique needs of both digital platforms and retail environments.

Threat Detection & Analysis

  • Monitor and analyse threats across networks, systems, and physical locations.
  • Implement proactive security controls to mitigate risks in both digital and retail settings.

Incident Response

  • Lead the team in responding to security incidents, ensuring adherence to protocols across all environments.

Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure operations meet industry-specific regulations, including gambling compliance and data privacy laws.
  • Prepare for and support internal and external audits.

Change Management

  • Oversee the secure implementation of new technologies and processes.
  • Ensure all changes are assessed for security impact across both digital and retail domains.

Tools & Technology Integration

  • Manage the integration and performance of monitoring and security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS for digital, and access control systems, MFA for retail

Qualifications

We’re looking for a seasoned security operations leader with a strong track record in managing complex, multi-layered environments across both digital platforms and physical venues. The ideal candidate will bring strategic insight, technical expertise, and exceptional leadership skills to drive security excellence across the Rank Group.

  • Several years’ experience in security operations, network operations, IT security management, or security engineering.
  • Proven leadership in managing security teams across digital and retail environments.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-layered security architectures, including both online platforms and physical venues.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing security policies aligned with industry standards, gambling regulations, and data privacy laws.
  • Strong background in incident response and threat detection, covering both digital and physical security threats.
  • Proficiency with SIEM tools and other security technologies for monitoring and analysis across diverse environments.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, capable of investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as gambling is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to unify digital and retail security strategies under a cohesive operational framework.
